| introduction | N,N, N-trimethyl-1-decatane ammonium bromide, also known as tetramethyltrimethylammonium bromide, is a quaternary ammonium salt and a cationic surfactant. High purity quaternary ammonium salt is an excellent phase transfer catalyst and plays a key role in organic synthesis. |

| preparation | weigh 400kg of decyldimethyl tertiary amine and place it in a 1000-liter enamel reaction kettle, pump 263kg of hydrobromic acid at a flow rate of 160kg/h, 125kg of methanol and 0.4kg of ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrobromide mixture, stir the reaction at 50 ℃, the reaction time is 3 hours, atmospheric reaction under nitrogen atmosphere. After the reaction product is vacuum dried (the drying temperature is controlled at 80 ℃), it is added into a 1000L high-pressure reactor. After the reactor is blown three times with nitrogen, 168kg of dimethyl carbonate and 80kg of methanol mixture are pumped into a closed reaction at a flow rate of 20kg/hour. The reaction temperature is 175 ℃, the reaction pressure is 1.7MPa, and the reaction is stirred for 12 hours. The reaction product was dried in vacuum (the drying temperature was controlled at 80 ℃) to obtain about 553kg of N,N,N-trimethyl-1-decatane ammonium bromide with a yield of 99.1% and a purity of 99.1%. |
