Use | Used as high temperature lubricant and stabilizer Used as high temperature lubricant, plastic industry stabilizer, etc. Gelling agent, metal powder lubricant |
production method | dissolve 10g of stearic acid in 100mL 95% ethanol, titrate with 0.5mol/L lithium hydroxide ethanol solution (if lithium hydroxide is not fully soluble in ethanol, water can be added to make it fully soluble), phenolphthalein is used as indicator, and after the reaction reaches the equivalent point, the precipitated lithium stearate soap is filtered out. Crude products can be recrystallized with 95% ethanol to obtain pure products. |
