Summary:
The present invention relates to a method for separating and purifying phytosterols and phytostanols from tall oleoresin, comprising the following steps: a) adding a resin to a first distillation column; B) distilled resin to remove excess abiosin acid and fatty acid to form a distilled resin; c) saponification of the distilled resin with an aqueous solution of one or more alkali metal bases to form a saponified resin; d) Neutralize the saponified resin with an amount sufficient to make the final pH value between 5.8 and 6.3 to form a neutral resin; e) Let the neutral resin phase separate for at least 12 hours, or until the moisture content of the resin in the phase separation is lower than 15%, forming a precipitated resin and an aqueous phase; f) Remove almost all remaining water from the precipitated resin to form a modified resin; g) Distilling the modified resin in the second distillation column to remove light fractions from the modified resin to produce free phytosterols and/or phytosters
Summary:
modified phenolic resin was synthesized from distilled tall oil separated from paper mill pulp waste liquid, and the reaction mechanism and resin structure were analyzed. The results show that when the molar ratio of phenol to formaldehyde is controlled to 1:0.6~0.9 and the amount of distilled tall oil is 40% ~ 60% of phenol, the modified phenolic resin has the best performance and the miscibility with polymer and solvent is improved.

overview | Tall oil, also known as pulp slick. The surface of pine pulp and black liquor is produced by sulfate method. The main ingredients are fatty acids and rosin acids. Used to make inks, lubricants and flotation agents. It is mainly used as rubber softener, especially the oxidation-modified jingtall oil. It is an excellent rubber regeneration softener, and its softening effect is equivalent to that of pine tar. Not only makes the reclaimed rubber smooth and soft, has a certain viscosity, plasticity and high strength, no yellow pollution problems, but also makes the reclaimed rubber cold rubber harder, hot rubber softer, mixing agent easy to disperse evenly. The general dosage is 4~5 parts. tall oil is also used as mineral sand flotation agent, ink, paint and soap. It can also be used as a multifunctional auxiliary agent for oil drilling mud. |
overview | common name: tall oil English name: Tall oil common name: pulp slick appearance: dark black oily liquid relative density: 0.950~1.024g/cm3 (15.5 ℃) iodine value: 135~216 saponification value: 142~185 molecular structure: |
the main ingredients | are mainly fatty acids and rosin acid, which are mainly composed of oleic acid and linoleic acid; rosin acid is a diterpene carboxylic acid |
production separation | the production and fractionation process of tall oil includes the recovery of pulp black soap and the acidification of black soap to produce crude oil slick. The process of separating oil-slick fatty acid, oil-slick rosin and oil-slick asphalt from crude oil-slick rectification. The main steps of the production and separation of tall oil are as follows: Black liquid soap recovery → Black liquid soap acidification to produce crude tall oil → Refining of tall oil |
production status | the main producing areas of tall oil in the world are the United States, Europe and Russia. In recent years, with the continuous development of sulfate pine pulping industry, the output of by-product tall oil is also expanding, so the production of tall oil rosin, tall oil fatty acid and tall oil asphalt has also been further developed. in recent years, China's pulp and paper industry using pine as raw material has developed rapidly, and the output of tall oil is also increasing. in 2013, China's tall oil fatty acid export volume was 386815kg, and in 2014, China's tall oil fatty acid export volume was 456050kg. in 2013, the import quantity of tall oil fatty acid in China was 1700kg, and in 2014, the import quantity of tall oil fatty acid in China was 13543584kg. * The picture is from the industrial network |
