Overview | Potassium bisulfate double salt (oxone) refers to a compound with the chemical formula K2SO4 • KHSO4 • 2KHSO5. Compared with alkaline inorganic peroxides such as calcium peroxide and sodium percarbonate, the aqueous solution with 10% concentration of potassium bisulfate double salt is acidic, and the pH value is about 2.3. It does not absorb moisture at room temperature and is relatively stable. Long-term storage has little effective oxygen loss, and the release of active oxygen is slow and uniform during use. Potassium bisulfate double salt can be used as bleaching agent, anti-shrinkage agent for wool fabric, waste gas removal agent such as NOx and SO2, initiator of polymerization reaction, oxygen supply agent in aquaculture, and oxidant of organic matter such as olefin, α and β-unsaturated acid. |
