DMEDA is mainly used as a catalyst and ligand, and participates in amino substitution, carbonyl reduction and disproportionation reactions in organic synthesis reactions. It has a variety of applications in the synthesis of compounds, such as: the synthesis of metal complexes, hydrogenation reduction reaction catalysis, cyanate ester addition reaction.
Method:
DMEDA can be obtained by the reaction of aniline and ethylene glycol dimethyl ether. The specific synthesis method is to react aniline with ethylene glycol dimethyl ether under suitable conditions to generate DMEDA, and further obtain a pure product through distillation and other operations.
