application dicarbonyl cyclopentadienyl iron dimer can be used as a catalyst for pharmaceutical synthesis. Examples of its application are as follows: 1) It is used to prepare an iron-molybdenum-based catalyst for methanol oxidation to formaldehyde. The specific synthesis steps are: First, under the condition of 20-100 ℃, the molybdenum macromolecular heterocyclic compound and iron macromolecular heterocyclic compound are dissolved in the same solvent, and then surfactant is added to prepare a solution with a certain concentration, and then, at a temperature of 20-150 ℃, under the humidity condition of 10-90%, the above solvent is evaporated to obtain the nanostructure with specific size and morphology, and then the nanostructure is calcined for 4-48 hours under different atmosphere conditions of 350-850 ℃ to obtain methanol oxidation to formaldehyde iron molybdenum-based catalyst (MoO3-Fe2(MoO4)3). In the preparation method of the iron-molybdenum-based catalyst for the oxidation of methanol to formaldehyde, the molybdenum macromolecular heterocyclic compound comprises one or more of molybdenum porphyrin, molybdenum phthalocyanine, molybdenum naphthalocyanine or molybdenum spirocyanine, and the concentration range of the molybdenum macromolecular heterocyclic compound is 0.1-1.5mol/L. The iron macromolecular heterocyclic compound includes one or more of iron porphyrin, iron phthalocyanine, iron naphthalocyanine, iron spirocyanine, ferrocene or cyclopentadienyl carbonyl iron, and the concentration range of the iron macromolecular heterocyclic compound is 0.25-2.5mol/L. The surfactant comprises one or more of polyvinylpyrrolidone, sodium decylsulfonate, lauryl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether, hexyltrimethylammonium bromide, oleic acid and oleylamine, and the concentration ranges from 0.1 to 0.5mol/L. The solvent includes water, chloroform, ethanol, cyclohexane, toluene, dichloroethane, methanol, or one or more of the above components. The molar ratio of molybdenum atom to iron atom of the two active components is controlled between 1.5 and 5.0.
