Use:
fmoc-3,4-dichloro-D-phenylalanine is commonly used in solid-phase synthesis as one of the building blocks of peptides and proteins. It can be used to synthesize polypeptides of specific sequences to study the structure and function of biomolecules.

Method:
fmoc-3, the preparation of 4-dichloro-D-phenylalanine can be completed by the following steps:
1. Reaction of D-3,4-dichlorophenylalanine with a dipeptide substrate in dichloromethane to produce a fmoc-3,4-dichloro-D-phenylalanine dipeptide ester (Fmoc-D-3).
2., 4-dichloro-D-phenylalanine dipeptide Ester is reacted with Fmoc protecting group fmoc-3 to give fmoc-3,4-dichloro-D-phenylalanine.
