| biological activity | Lys-γ3-MSH(human) is a Melanocortin peptide derived from the C- terminus of the POMC fragment. Lys-γ3-MSH(human) enhances the steroidogenic response of rat adrenal glands to adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). Lys-γ3-MSH(human) is a potent lipolytic activator with an apparent EC50 of 3.56 nM. Lys-γ3-MSH(human) activates hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) and perillin A, leading to lipolysis. |
