Alfacol-d6 - Introduction
Tokoferol-d6 Acetate (Tokoferol-d6) is a deuterated alpha-tocopherol Acetate with the chemical formula C29H43DO2. Its properties are similar to those of ordinary α-tocopherol acetate, and it has a stable molecular structure.
Tokoferol-d6 acetate is mainly used in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments in the field of research and analysis. Because the hydrogen atom is replaced by the deuterium atom, the quantitative analysis of hydrogen in NMR experiment is more accurate and reliable. It can also be used as an internal standard substance in biochemical research to study the metabolic processes of vitamin E.
The preparation method of Tokoferol-d6 acetate is usually carried out by synthesis. First, a deuterium atom is labeled at the relevant site of the tocopherol molecule to form the Tokoferol-d6 target compound. This compound is then reacted with acetic acid during the synthesis to give the Tokoferol-d6 acetate.
Regarding safety information, Tokoferol-d6 acetate has low toxicity and generally does not cause health hazards when used under normal experimental conditions. However, it is still necessary to use and handle the compound strictly in accordance with laboratory practices, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and maintain a good ventilation environment. The relevant safety data sheets and operating instructions should be read before use.
