957995-85-6 - Introduction
1,3-Benzoxazole-4-carboxamide is an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H6N2O2. It is a white solid, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, chloroform and dichloromethane.
1,3-Benzoxazole-4-carboxamide is commonly used in medicinal chemistry research and drug synthesis. As an active molecule, it can be used as an intermediate for drugs, for example for the preparation of anticancer drugs.
There are two main methods for the preparation of 1,3-Benzoxazole-4-carboxamide. One is the reaction of 2-aminophenol and acid chloride to form 2-amino-4-hydroxybenzoyl chloride, which is then reacted with ammonia to give 1,3-Benzoxazole-4-carboxamide. The other is to obtain bromooxazole carboxamide by aminolysis of bromo acid, and then to prepare 1,3-Benzoxazole-4-carboxamide by alkali debromination.
For safety information, there is currently limited understanding of the toxicity and danger of 1,3-Benzoxazole-4-carboxamide. During use and handling, laboratory safety procedures should be followed and appropriate protective measures should be taken, such as gloves, protective glasses and laboratory coats. If swallowed or inhaled, seek medical attention.
