1.5-bromo -2, 4-dimethylpyrimidine is reacted with zinc dinitrate to obtain 5-bromo -2, 4-dimethylpyrimidine nitrite.
2. The nitrite ester was hydrolyzed and acidified to obtain 5-bromo-2, 4-dimethylpyrimidine nitric acid.
3. Reduction of nitric acid to amine and acidolysis to give 5-bromo-2, 4-dimethylpyrimidine.
4. Finally, 5-bromo -2, 4-dimethylpyrimidine and chlorine oxide are reacted to obtain acid.
