introduction | 6-fluoroquinoline is a quinoline derivative. Quinoline and its derivatives are a kind of very important heterocyclic compounds, which widely exist in alkaloids and show very broad biological activities. Many of them show anti-asthma, antibacterial, antiviral, memory enhancement, anti-hypertension, anti-depression, anti-allergy, anti-malaria and anti-tumor properties. |
preparation | 6-chlorotetrahydroquinoline (0.2mmol), N-hydroxyphthalimide (20mol%,0.04mmol), copper oxide (5mol%,0.01mmol), 4-dimethylaminopyridine (1 equivalent, 0.2mmol) and acetonitrile (2mL), then the reaction mixture is stirred in an oxygen atmosphere at 120 ℃ for 12 hours, the reaction is completely monitored by TLC, and then the reaction mixture is concentrated under reduced pressure, and the resulting residue is separated by column chromatography (ethyl acetate/petroleum ether is the elution solvent, the volume ratio is 1: 10) and purified to obtain the target product 6-chloroquinoline (yield 76%). |
