Use | Micafungin sodium a cyclic hexapeptide echinocandin lipopeptide. |
Target | 1,3-beta-D-glucan synthesis |
In vitro study | Micafungin is an antifungal agent that does not inhibit bacteria. Although it does not directly inhibit bacteria, it can improve the survival rate of G. mellonella. Micafungin inhibits biofilm formation by blocking the synthesis of 1,3-β-D-glucan in Candida albicans. |
