2. Reaction of 2-(3-(trifluoromethoxy) phenyl) acetone hydrochloride with excess hydrogen ammonia solution gives 2-(3-(trifluoromethoxy) phenyl) propyl -2-amine free base.
3. Finally, the resulting 2-(3-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl) propyl-2-amine free base is reacted with hydrochloric acid to form 2-(3-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)propan-2-amine hydrochloride.
