(S)-N-Fmoc-3-Thienylalanine is a chemical substance with the following characteristics:

Nature:
1. Appearance: White or almost white crystalline powder.
2. Molecular formula: C26H20N2O4S.
3. Molecular weight: 456.51g/mol.
4. Melting point: 157-160 degrees Celsius.

Use:
1. (S)-N-Fmoc-3-Thienylalanine is an amino acid derivative widely used in the fields of biochemistry and organic synthesis. It can be used in the synthesis of polypeptides and proteins, usually as a protecting group and a reactive functional group.
2. It can also be used to synthesize biologically active compounds, such as drugs, enzyme inhibitors, etc.

Method: The synthesis of
(S)-N-Fmoc-3-Thienylalanine is mainly divided into two steps:
1. First, 3-thiophenepropionic acid reacts with FMOC-L-o-benzoic anhydride to generate FMOC-L-3-thiophenepropionic acid.
2. The carboxyl group in FMOC-L-3-thiophenepropionic acid is then reacted with an amino acid by reaction with dimethylaminopyrimidine (DMAP) and an activating agent such as diisopropyl carbodiimide to form (S)-N-Fmoc-3-Thienylalanine.

(S)-The N-Fmoc-3-Thienylalanine is stable under normal conditions of use. However, during handling and storage, the following safety precautions need to be taken into consideration:
