Chloroacetone is added dropwise within 5H; Thiourea is gradually dissolved as the reaction proceeds; Then the reaction is refluxed for 2H, and granular sodium hydroxide is added under cooling and slowly stirring; Then the upper oil layer is separated out, and the water layer is extracted with diethyl ether; the dark red oil was combined with the extract, dried with sodium hydroxide and filtered; After ether was distilled off from the filtrate, the residue was distilled under reduced pressure to collect 117-120 °c (1. lkPa), or 130~133 C (2.4kPa) fraction to obtain the product, the yield of 70% ~ 75%.

Used as a pharmaceutical intermediate

As the reaction progresses, thiourea gradually dissolves. Reflux reaction for 2h, under cooling and slowly stirring, adding granular sodium hydroxide. Then the upper oil layer is separated, the water layer is extracted with ether, the dark red oil is combined with the extract, dried with sodium hydroxide, and filtered. After the ether is distilled from the filtrate, the residue is distilled under reduced pressure, and the product is obtained by collecting the fraction of 117-120 ℃(1.07kPa) or 130-133 ℃(2.40kPa) with a yield of 70-75%.
