1-(Azidomethyl)-3-fluorobenzene is an organic compound with the chemical formula C7H6FN3. It is a yellow to orange-yellow crystalline solid.

The method of preparing 1-(Azidomethyl)-3-fluorobenzene can be carried out by the following steps:
First, 3-fluorobenzaldehyde and methylene bromide chloride are reacted in the presence of methylene bromide chloride to obtain 3-fluoro-α, α,α-tribromomethylbenzaldehyde.
Then, 3-fluoro-α, α,α-tribromomethylbenzaldehyde is reacted with tert-butylamine and anhydrous DMF at high temperature to generate 1-(Azidomethyl)-3-fluorobenzene.
