overview
Basic magnesium carbonate is an inorganic compound, which can be used as an important inorganic chemical product.
Preparation
(1) dissolve 18.52g MgCl2 · 6H2O into 350ml of pH = 10.0 aqueous solution, and add 35ml of absolute ethanol to form transparent MgCl2 alkaline aqueous solution;
(2) Pass high-purity carbon dioxide gas into the MgCl2 aqueous solution, and control the inlet speed to be about 0.5L/min;
(3) Heat the reaction solution to 60 degrees and react for 2 hours;
(4) After the reaction is over, the obtained sample is filtered, washed with deionized water to neutral, washed with absolute ethanol, and dried at 50-80 degrees for 10 hours.
