1,2-DICAPRIN - Introduction
(/-)-1,2-didecanoylglycerol is a monoester compound with the chemical formula C29H56O4. It has the appearance of a white crystalline powder, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers and chlorinated hydrocarbons, and poorly soluble in water.
( /-)-1,2-didecanoylglycerol's main use is as an emulsifier, thickener and lubricant in cosmetics and personal care products. It is able to increase the consistency and viscosity of cosmetics and provide moisturizing and lubricating effects to the skin.
