(S)-MBDB - Introduction
N-Methyl-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-2-butylamine is an organic compound, also known as NBOMe. The following is an introduction to the nature, use, method and safety information of NBOMe:
Nature:
-Appearance: Generally a white crystalline solid.
-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, chloroform and dichloromethane.
Use:
- NBOMe compounds are often used as psychedelic drugs and have effects similar to LSD. They produce hallucinatory effects primarily by stimulating serotonin 2A(5-HT2A) receptors.
Preparation Method:
-A common preparation method is to generate 3,4-dioxoaryl -1-methyl -2, 5-dimethoxyphenylethylamine by reacting p-nitrosophenylethyl acetate with 2,5-dimethoxyphenylethylamine. Then, a methyl group is introduced into the compound by an o-nitrobenzene methylation reaction.
Safety Information:
- NBOMe compounds are potent psychedelic drugs and should be used with caution. Excessive doses can lead to serious mental and physical health problems, including cardiovascular problems and psychiatric disorders. Such compounds have not been sufficiently studied and evaluated, and therefore have a high risk of use.
-These compounds are considered illegal drugs in many countries and regions, and their purchase, possession, use or sale may violate relevant laws. It is recommended to follow local laws and regulations and follow the advice of medical professionals.
