The invention discloses a preparation method of zinc ammonia citrate, which is prepared from 100 parts of raw material water, 17-18 parts of citric acid, 10-11 parts of zinc oxide powder and 35-40 parts of ammonia water: water and zinc oxide are placed in a stirring device and dispersed evenly, citric acid is added and stirred until the melt becomes transparent; 3/4 parts by weight of ammonia water is passed into the transparent solution, and it is heated and boiled, after concentration, it is naturally cooled, and then the remaining ammonia water is added slowly to obtain a transparent solution; it is placed in an oven to dry the water, and the obtained solid is cooled and crushed to obtain zinc citrate ammonia finished product. The advantage of the invention is that the zinc citrate ammonia product with medium chelation strength is produced by using secondary chelation technology, and when used as a regulator of trace elements in plants, it has the advantages of green environmental protection, no residue, good compatibility, good nutrient absorption, low raw material cost and so on, and conforms to the new direction of agricultural development.
