tetrafluoride - Introduction
tetrafluoroborate is an organic compound with the chemical formula of C7H6N2O · BF4, which is a product obtained by the reaction of 4-methoaniline (4-methoxyaniline) and sodium nitrite (sodium nitrite) under acidic conditions.
Nature:
-Appearance: tetrafluoroborate white to yellow crystal powder.
-melting point: about 200-205 ℃
-Solubility: insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents (such as ethanol, acetone, etc.).
Use:
− − − tetrafluoroborate can be used as a source drug of a diazo compound in organic synthesis.
-It plays an important intermediate role in the synthesis reaction of aromatic compounds.
Preparation Method:
-Dissolve 4-methoxyaniline in acidic solution, add sodium nitrite, and control the reaction temperature and pH value.
-After the reaction is complete, the product is isolated by filtration, and appropriately washed and dried to obtain a tetrafluoroborate.
Safety Information:
-Due to the toxicity of tetrafluoroborate, appropriate safety measures should be taken when using it.
-Avoid contact with skin, eyes and respiratory tract.
-Personal protective equipment such as protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing should be worn during operation.
