leaddioleate - Reference Information

EPA chemical substance information information provided by: ofmpeb.epa.gov (external link)
Use is used for the preparation of varnish, extreme pressure lubricating oil, fiber water-resistant impregnating agent, ointment for medical use, etc. Intestinal mice oral LD50 was 8000mg/kg.
production method is derived from the interaction of sodium oleate and lead nitrate. The lead nitrate crystals were dissolved in water, filtered, added to a stainless steel-lined reactor, and heated to raise the temperature of the lead nitrate solution to 85-90 °c. The sodium oleate solution was slowly added dropwise to the reactor with stirring, and the reaction temperature was maintained at 85-90 °c. During the reaction, a suitable spray of water inhibits the foaming of the soaps. After completion of the reaction, the reaction is centrifuged, the nitrate is washed off with hot water, the precipitate is dried at 85-90 °c, cooled and ground to a standard particle size (95% above passing through 200 mesh). Consumption of sodium oleate 800kg per ton of product, lead nitrate 450kg.
