pharmacological action 1. anti-fatigue effect: oral administration of Rhodiola angustifolia prolongs the climbing time, swimming time and load swimming time of mice. It can shorten the time required for recovery after fatigue, increase the levels of enzymes, RNA and proteins, and make the muscles recover as soon as possible after fatigue.
2. Effect on central nervous media: Rhodiola rosea can normalize the content of serotonin in mice under swimming conditions, that is, the content of central nervous media from normal sand dunes has been corrected or reached normal levels. Injection of salidroside (30-300mg/kg) in mice reduced the level of serotonin.
3. Anti-hypoxia effect: Oral administration of extracts from Rhodiola, Rhodiola angustifolia, and Crimson Rhodiola can make experimental animals show obvious antagonism to various hypoxia patterns, and its effect is stronger than ginseng and Acanthopanax.
4. Anti-aging effect: Rhodiola rosea alcohol extract can improve the activity of SOD in red blood cells and liver of rats, and has a tendency to increase the activity of SOD in myocardium.
