| Introduction | lithium oxalate is a reaction between oxalic acid and industrial grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate, and the end point of the reaction is controlled by 7~7.5, then high purity lithium oxalate was obtained by separation and drying. The method of preparing lithium hydrogen oxalate with oxalic acid and lithium chloride solution, and then preparing lithium oxalate with lithium hydrogen oxalate has not been reported, and the cost of lithium chloride is lower than that of lithium hydroxide. Lithium oxalate can be used in the pharmaceutical industry to prepare lithium salt raw materials. |
| preparation | (1) kg of industrial grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate was added to 1500L of pure water and dissolved in a plastic container, the solution was stirred until clear to give a technical grade lithium hydroxide solution. Weigh and lithium element molar ratio of 1:2 oxalic acid (mass content of 299.9%)450kg, with 450L temperature 90 ° C pure water in the enamel container stirring to dissolve oxalic acid solution, 90kg of oxalic acid solution was slowly added to the industrial grade lithium hydroxide solution, stirred until complete reaction, and allowed to stand for 10min. After filtering and removing impurities, the solution was clear to obtain a filtered lithium hydroxide solution. (2) from the remaining oxalic acid solution in step (1), 162kg is added to the reaction kettle, stirred, and then slowly added to the filtered lithium hydroxide solution obtained in step (1), A small amount of white precipitate was formed at the bottom, and the filtered lithium hydroxide solution was stopped to fully react; Then the homogeneous synthesis is adopted, and the remaining filtered lithium hydroxide solution and the remaining oxalic acid solution are slowly added to the reaction kettle at the same time, and the temperature is controlled at about 50 ° C during the addition process, after the addition, the pH of the reaction system was adjusted to 7.0 with lithium hydroxide or oxalic acid, and stirring was continued for 10min. (3) control step (2) the temperature of the obtained lithium oxalate solution is reduced to normal temperature by water bath at a speed of 5°C/h, and left to stand until the white precipitated lithium oxalate is completely settled to the bottom, the supernatant was collected and returned to step (1) as a solvent for recycling in the next reaction in place of pure water. (4) The Lithium oxalate obtained in the step (3) is dried by a Teflon-lined centrifuge, and the wet material is dried at 100TC for 6h to obtain 203kg of a high-purity lithium oxalate product. |
