DI-O-TOLYLCHLOROPHOSPHINE - Introduction
Chlorodi(o-tolyl)phosphine is an organophosphorus compound with the chemical formula (CH3C6H4)2PCl. It is a colorless or yellowish liquid with a pungent odor.
Chlorodi(o-tolyl)phosphine are mainly used as reagents and catalysts in organic synthesis. It can be used as a phosphating agent to participate in phosphating reactions, such as nucleophilic addition reactions and esterification reactions. In addition, it can also be used as a ligand for transition metal complexes.
Chlorodi(o-tolyl)phosphine can be prepared by reacting o-toluidine with phosphorus trichloride. The reaction process is generally carried out under an inert gas atmosphere with the exclusion of moisture and oxygen.
