Tocopherol (vitamin E)(TCP) is a series of (α,β,γ and δ) chiral organic molecules. The difference of these chiral molecules is through their benzodihydropyranol group The degree of methylation comes from the change. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that protects cell membranes from oxidative damage. Alpha-tocopherol is a form that modern people preferentially absorb. Alpha-tocopherols of different subtypes and analogs have opposite and differentiated regulatory activities in vivo.
