CsTFSI - Introduction

Cesium(I) Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, chemical formula Cs[NTf2], is an inorganic compound. Its properties are as follows:

1. appearance: white crystal.

2. Melting point: about 240°C.

3. density: about 2.25 g/cm.

4. Solubility: insoluble in water, soluble in some organic solvents.

5. Stability: Stable at room temperature, but may decompose when heated or encountered strong oxidants.

This compound has a number of important uses in chemical research and industry, including:

1. Electrolyte: Due to the good solubility and stability of Cesium(I) Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, it is widely used in electrolyte materials such as ion batteries and supercapacitors.

2. catalyst: Cesium(I) Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide can be used as a catalyst ligand for a variety of organic synthesis reactions.

Cesium(I) Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide can be obtained by the following preparation method:

1. can be obtained from the reaction of cesium trifluoromethanesulfonate (CsOTf) and imine (RNH).

2. can also be synthesized by reaction with trifluoromethylsulfonyl fluoride (CF3SO2F).
