Preparation Method:
The preparation method of (R)-5-oxo-tetrahydrofuran-3-carbamic acid benzyl ester can be carried out by the following steps:
1. Dissolve (R)-benzyl 3-carbamate and water-deficient phenol in anhydrous thionyl chloride, and add a catalyst, such as ammonium chloride.
2. under the protection of inert gas, add excess oxidant, such as benzoyl peroxide.
3. Stir the reaction mixture at room temperature until the reaction is complete.
4. The reactant was converted to (R)-5-oxo-tetrahydrofuran-3-carbamic acid benzyl ester by the addition of dilute sulfuric acid.
5. The reactant was purified by freezing crystallization to obtain a pure product.
