CDMT - Introduction
2-choro-4, 6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazine is a white crystalline powder with the chemical formula C6H6ClN3O2 and a molecular weight of 191.58g/mol. It is a heterocyclic organic compound.
Its main use is as a chemical reagent, especially in N-aryl protection reactions in organic synthesis. It can be used as a protecting group to protect the amine group and can be reduced to the target compound by hydrogenation when necessary.
The preparation method of 2-choro-4, 6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazine is relatively simple. A commonly used method is to obtain an intermediate by reacting 2,4, 6-trimethoxy-1, 3,5-triazine with oleoyl chloride, the intermediate is then chlorinated in the presence of hydrochloric acid to give the desired product.
For safety information, 2-choro-4, 6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazine needs to be stored in a dry, ventilated place, avoid exposure to light. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when handling.
