This paper reports the synthesis process of coconut oil amidopropyl betaine. The method uses coconut oil as raw material, through condensation with 3-dimethylaminopropylamine and two-step reaction with sodium chloroacetate quaternary amination, to prepare cocoamidopropyl betaine, with a yield of about 90%.
