| Production method | Acetonitrile reacts with N-bromosuccinimide. The reaction is carried out in the solvent plus carbon chloride, a small amount of sulfur is added to the reaction mixture, and the reaction is refluxed for 14h. The reactants are distilled and the fraction 60-62°C (3.19kPa) is collected to obtain bromoacetonitrile. |
