2. Add excess trichlorosilane and heat the reaction, usually at 100-150 degrees Celsius.
3. After completion of the reaction, the solution was cooled and treated with dilute acid, from which the DMBIS product was obtained.
4. Finally, DMBIS is purified and isolated using a solvent, usually ether or alcohol.
