- White Crystal. Melting point 196~200 °c (decomposition). Specific rotation -47.5. (20 °c, 2% in 2% sodium hydroxide). Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether.
- adenylic acid is one of the four major mononucleotides constituting an animal nuclear glyconucleic acid, and is an energy-transmitting substance in vivo, but is more stable than adenosine triphosphate (ATP). It has significant peripheral vasodilation and hypotensive effect.
