Bis(3-fluorophenyl) disulphide is an organic compound with the chemical formula C12H6F2S2. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of the compound:

Bis(3-fluorophenyl) disulphide is often used as a vulcanizing agent, a deprotecting agent, a rearrangement agent, etc. in organic synthesis. It can also be used as an intermediate for organic materials, for example for the synthesis of optical organic materials or liquid crystal displays.
Preparation Method:
Bis(3-fluorophenyl) disulphide can usually be synthesized by the following steps:
1. The phenyl bromide is reacted with iron sulfide to obtain phenyl sulfide.
2. The obtained phenyl sulfide is reacted with copper fluoride to obtain Bis(3-fluorophenyl) disulphide.
