4-isothiocyanato-2-(trifluoroMethyl)benzonitrile - Introduction
It is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8HF3N2S.
Nature:
-Appearance: Colorless crystal or white powder.
-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol, chloroform, etc., insoluble in water.
-Melting point: About 80-85 degrees Celsius.
-Stability: relatively stable at room temperature, but will decompose in the presence of high temperature, light and oxygen.
Use:
-pesticide intermediates: can be used for synthetic pesticides, such as fungicides, insecticides, etc.
-Pharmaceutical field: It can also be used as a drug intermediate for the synthesis of drugs.
Method:
The synthesis method includes the following steps:
1. Reacting O-difluorobenzene with trifluoromethyl isothiocyanate to give 4-isothiocyano-2-(trifluoromethyl) phenol.
2. The above product can be obtained by reacting with Cyanogen chloride.
