Method:
- 2-(4-bromo-3-methoxyphenyl)-2,2-difluoroacetic acid can be synthesized by first synthesizing 2-(4-bromo-3-methoxyphenyl) acetic acid, it is then obtained by a difluorination reaction under the action of a fluorinating agent.
-The synthetic steps can be as follows:
1. 4-bromo-3-methoxybenzyl alcohol is esterified with acetic anhydride to obtain 2-(4-bromo-3-methoxyphenyl) acetic acid.
2. Difluorination of 2-(4-bromo-3-methoxyphenyl) acetic acid in the presence of potassium difluoride gives 2-(4-bromo-3-methoxyphenyl)-2,2-difluoroacetic acid.
