4-Methyl-2-phenylpyriridine (4-Methyl-2-phenylpyriridine) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C12H11N.

1. benzaldehyde reacts with methyl acetate to generate benzyl acetate.
2. reacting benzyl acetate with ammonia to produce methyl α-aminophenylacetate.
3. reacting methyl α-aminophenylacetate with butyne to generate 4-Methyl-2-phenylpyriridine.
