Uses

4-pyridine boric acid pinacol ester is an organic intermediate, which can be obtained by the reaction of pyridine boric acid and pinacol. Pinacol 4-pyridine borate can be used to prepare a water-soluble fluorescent probe with aggregation-induced luminescence characteristics.

preparation method

0.41g of pyridine boric acid and 0.39g of pinacol are placed in a 50mL round bottom flask, and appropriate
amount of toluene is added as solvent for reflux. During the whole process, the steamed water is continuously released from the system. After 4h, the reaction was stopped and the reaction was completely detected by thin layer chromatography (TLC). The round bottom flask is placed at room temperature
to cool and filter to obtain 0.67g of white solid pyridine borate.
