The preparation of 1-MCP is mainly obtained by gas phase reaction, and the common preparation methods are:
1.2-methyl mercapto -2-methyl propanol is generated by the reaction of 2-bromo -2-methyl propanol and sodium sulfate.
2. 1-MCP is generated by the reaction of 2-methylmercapto-2-methylpropanol and sorbitol.
