-In the cosmetics industry, it can be used as a fragrance and blending agent.
-Due to its low toxicity and volatility, it is also used as an industrial cleaning agent.
Preparation Method:
Ethyl 2-hydroxymethyl isobutyrate can be obtained by reacting 2-methylpropanol with isobutyric anhydride in the presence of an acid catalyst.
