Preparation Method:
The preparation of trifluoromethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid ethyl ester is generally carried out by the following steps:
1. the reaction of trifluoromethylbenzene and acetic acid in an organic solvent generates trifluoromethylphenylacetic acid.
2. Then, the trifluoromethylphenylacetic acid is esterified with excess propylene glycol to generate 1-trifluoromethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid ethyl ester.
