1337-34-4 - Physico-chemical Properties

Physical and Chemical PropertiesA waxy solid of off-white to brownish yellow consistency such as cooked lard. Basically tasteless. Insoluble in water. Soluble in chloroform and ethylene glycol.
UseUse stabilizers. Shortening for emulsification. The maximum amount used is ≤ 0.15%. Toxicity ADI is not specified (FAO/WHO,2001). Safe for use in food (FDA,§ 172.755,2000).

Abstract:

with glyceryl monostearate citric acid as the main emulsifier, with glyceryl monostearate and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate compound, select isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, tea seed oil and caprylic acid triglyceride as oil phase, the optimum formula of moisturizing cream matrix was discussed by orthogonal design method. The Complete Formula of moisturizing cream was prepared by adding a variety of active ingredients in the matrix formula, and its physical and chemical indexes and sensory indexes were discussed. The results showed that the moisture absorption rate of the cream was 43% after 8H at low relative humidity (1.8%) and 85% after 8H at high relative humidity (0.6%), the results show that the moisturizing cream has excellent moisturizing effect. Moisturizing cream sensory and physical and chemical indicators are in line with industry standards.
