Methyl 5-trifluoromethylnicotinate (also known as TFMA) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8H5F3O3. It is a colorless liquid with several specific properties.

Nature:
1. 5-Trifluoromethyl nicotinic acid methyl ester has high thermal stability and is not easy to decompose or fail under high temperature conditions.
2. It is a polar solvent, soluble in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, dimethylformamide, etc.
3. TFMA has strong acidity and can be used as acid catalyst.

Use:

Preparation Method:
