1. First, 7-chloro-2-quinolinamine is reacted with acrolein to produce 7-chloro-2-quinolinylacrolein.
2. Next, 2-aminopyridine is reacted with benzaldehyde to produce 2-aminopyridyl benzaldehyde.
3. Finally, the products of step 1 and step 2 are subjected to hydrogenation-reduction reaction to obtain (E)-3-[2-(7-chloro-2-quinolyl) vinyl] benzaldehyde.
