Use:
(2-bromophenylethynyl)trimethylsilane are commonly used as intermediates and reagents for the synthesis of organic compounds. It can be used as a catalyst and ligand in organic synthesis reactions, such as carbon-carbon bond formation reactions, such as Suzuki coupling reactions and Sonogashira coupling reactions. In addition, it can also be used as a component of an organic electronic material, such as an organic photovoltaic device, an organic light emitting diode, etc.
Preparation Method:
(2-bromophenylethynyl)trimethylsilane can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. Phenylacetylene is reacted with barium hydride to obtain a barium phenylethynyl compound.
2. The phenylethynyl barium compound is reacted with trimethylsilyl chloride to generate (2-bromophenylethynyl)trimethylsilane.
