Descriptions | Pigment Red 179 is a Perylene based pigment, mainly referring to a class of Perylene Tetracarboxylic Acid Diimide compounds obtained by condensation of Perylene Tetracarboxylic Acid or Perylene Tetracarboxylic Anhydride with different amine compounds. Pigment Red 179 has extremely high resistance to organic solvents and thermal stability, excellent light fastness, climate fastness, color permeation resistance, and migration fastness. It is widely used as a high-end industrial coating for automotive original topcoats and repair paints, as well as a high-end plastic coloring agent for vinyl polymers, polyethylene, polypropylene, and fiber plastics. Pigment Red 179 is used for coloring industrial buildings, automotive coatings, printing inks, polyvinyl chloride plastics, and other materials. It is the most valuable pigment in the Perylene Red series, giving a bright red color. It is mainly used for automotive primers (OEM) and repair paints. This pigment has excellent light resistance, weather fastness, and even better than substituted quinacridones. It has a heat stability of 180-200 ℃, good solvent resistance, and topcoat performance. |
