Zirconium bromonorbornanelactone carboxylate triacrylate - Introduction

Bromo-substituted Norbornane lactone zirconium triacrylate carboxylate, also known as bromo-substituted zirconium ketone, is an organometallic compound. Its molecular formula is BrZr(C2H2O2)3 and its molecular weight is 461.87g/mol. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of bromozirconium ketones:

Nature:
-Zirconium bromide ketone is a white crystalline solid, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ethers and olefins, but almost insoluble in water.
-It is a stable compound with good thermal stability at room temperature.
-Zirconium bromide ketone is stable in air, but you need to be careful when encountering strong oxidants.

Use:
-Zirconium bromide ketone is often used as a catalyst in organic synthesis reactions, especially for the formation of carbon-carbon bonds, such as Kumada cross coupling and Negishi coupling reactions.
-It can also be used for the synthesis of organometallic polymers and the synthesis of dyes, fluorescent agents, optical materials, etc.

Preparation Method:
The preparation of bromozirconium ketone is usually obtained by the reaction of bromonorbornane and lithium Norbornane. First, The Bromo-Norbornane and lithium Norbornane are reacted to generate lithium Bromo-Norbornane, which is then reacted with Zirconium chloride to obtain Bromo-zirconium ketone.

Safety Information:
-Zirconium bromide ketone has relatively low toxicity and danger under the conditions of correct use and storage.
-During operation, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including protective glasses and protective gloves.
-Zirconium bromide ketone should be kept away from fire and oxidant, and stored in a dry, well-ventilated place.
