Shellac, Et ester - Introduction

Shellac (wax glue) is a natural resin made by ants using resin from trees and insect secretions. It has many uses and properties:

1. properties: wax gum is brown to dark reddish brown solid, soluble in alcohol and ester solvents, but insoluble in water. It has good gloss, weather resistance and insulation, and has a certain degree of wear resistance.

2. use: wax glue is widely used in wood products, furniture, audio records, printed matter, food packaging, cosmetics, drug coating and other fields. It can be used as coatings, lacquers, adhesives and packaging materials.

3. Preparation method: The preparation of wax glue is made by combining the resin in the trees and the secretions of the ants, as well as further smelting and filtering processing.

4. Safety information: Wax gel is generally non-toxic, but may cause allergic reactions in some people. When handling wax glue, it is recommended to wear gloves and ensure good ventilation. In addition, the wax glue is flammable to open flames and should be used safely.

Et ester (acetate) is a class of organic compounds, usually prepared by esterification. It also has some features and applications:

1. nature: acetate is usually a colorless liquid with a unique smell. It has the characteristics of low toxicity, low volatility and solubility in organic solvents.

2. use: acetate is widely used as solvent, paint thinner, perfume, artificial wax, plastic additives, etc. For example, ethyl acetate is commonly used in paints and adhesives, while isoamyl acetate is commonly used in perfumes.

3. Preparation method: The preparation of acetate is usually obtained by esterification reaction, which reacts with acid and alcohol under the action of catalyst.

4. safety information: acetate is generally a relatively safe compound, but some acetate is flammable, so pay attention to avoid contact with open fire. In addition, avoid large amounts of inhalation and skin contact when using acetate to avoid irritation or allergy. Pay attention to safe operation and storage during use.
