Use | Use O-(2-methoxyethoxy) benzenesulfonamide is an intermediate of the sulfonylurea herbicide ethersulfuron. |
Its preparation method is based on 2-chloro-5-nitrobenzene sulfonic acid as raw material, first and sodium hydroxide to form the corresponding sodium sulfonate salt, and further react with 2-methoxyethanol to etherify to obtain 2-(2-Methoxyethoxy)-5-nitrobenzene sulfonate sodium, which reacts with phosphorus oxytrichloride to form the corresponding sulfonyl chloride, which reacts with ammonia to obtain 2-(2-methoxyeth, further use sodium sulfide to reduce the nitro group to amino compounds, and then react with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid in ethanol, diazotize, and then remove nitrogen to obtain 2-(2-methoxyethoxy) benzenesulfonamide.
Another method is to use 2-chlorobenzenesulfonamide as the raw material, first react with the sulfonamide with benzyl bromide to protect the amino group, then react with ethylene glycol monomethyl ether, and finally hydrolyze to obtain the finished product.
